Why do this?

When you can do this!

Would you like to join a men's choir to make your voice heard in the fight for fathers' rights?
The Sons of Quixote is the name of that choir.
Are you a father in the Bay Area representing yourself (*pro per*) in Family Court and fighting to remain present in your child’s life?
We are forming a choir of 25–30 fathers from across San Francisco, Contra Costa County, Oakland, and the greater Bay Area who are navigating the Family Court system without legal representation.
This group will come together over several months to:
* Learn and rehearse one song: *“The Impossible Dream”* from *Man of La Mancha*
* Share personal experiences in a supportive, confidential group setting
* Build solidarity with other fathers facing similar challenges
* Participate in the creation of a documentary film
The choir will culminate in a peaceful public performance on the steps of the Spinetta Family Law Center in Martinez, where participants will stand holding photographs of their children and perform together as part of a filmed demonstration and the finale of the documentary
This project titled "Tilting at Windmills: Fathers Finding Their Voices" will document the emotional journey of these fathers as they navigate the legal system, reclaim their narratives, and support one another in community.
Participation will include:
* On-camera interviews
* Group discussions
* Rehearsals
* Public performance
No prior singing experience is required.
This is an opportunity to:
* Be heard
* Connect with other fathers
* Share your story
* Contribute to a documentary exploring fatherhood, access, and resilience
If you are interested in participating or would like to learn more, please respond by filling out the contact information below.
In your message, make sure to let us know the ages of your children and how long you have been fighting in family court.
